Benefits of Massage

Massage is one of the oldest forms of therapeutic treatment, used by many cultures to treat stress and illness. Massage provides mental and physical balance while offering a drug free, non-invasive approach to treating various ailments. Whether you’re looking to relax, recover from an injury, or improve your overall well-being, massage therapy can be a valuable way to help you achieve optimal health as part of a healthy, active lifestyle.

While many people may think of massage as simply about pampering oneself, the potential healing benefits can go much deeper. Massage is proven to help reduce stress, which can be a cause of disease, and can lower blood pressure while improving circulation. By promoting relaxation, reducing anxiety and tension, and improving sleep, massage allows your body to better handle stress.

Massage can also help promote healing, through the power of touch. The therapeutic techniques used by massage therapists can relieve soft tissue injuries and treat many chronic ailments, such as back pain, bursitis, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain and headaches. Regular massage sessions can also help to boost your immune system, by enhancing your body’s natural healing ability. Given these challenging times, it can be even more important to take extra care of both your physical and mental wellbeing. Massage therapy is the perfect choice for improving your quality of life.

Treeview offers the healing services of our very own Massage Therapist. Nola Ward has been our resident masseuse for over two years now, visiting on the first and third Monday of the month. Nola offers relaxation and remedial treatments, as well as reiki and bach flowers, which can help improve emotional wellbeing. With almost 20 years experience treating and healing those in the Lithgow area, Nola follows strict Covid hygiene protocols, including masking during treatments. Treeview residents can book their appointments through the Resident Services team, while anyone outside of the village can contact Nola at the Lithgow Healing Centre, at lithgowhealingcentre@gmail.com. Treeview residents love their regular sessions with Nola!

Resident testimonial

I have been having fortnightly back massages with Nola since we moved into Treeview. I believe a regular massage is good for the body and the soul. It keeps your muscles from tensing up which in turn helps with aches and pains associated with growing older. Treat yourself once and you will keep going back to Nola.
