Considering Retirement Village Living?

If you’re considering retirement village living, you may have a lot of questions. For example, you might be wondering if retirement living is right for you? Or deciding between a retirement community or staying in your family home? And what if you’re on a budget – how much will it cost to move into a retirement village? This blog may answer some of your questions. Our goal is to inform you in making the best decision for yourself.

Retirement villages are a great option for many people who want to live independently but still be close to others with similar life goals.

Why should I think about moving to a Retirement Village?
• There are many personal and practical reasons why you might decide to move to a retirement village:
• Free yourself from the responsibilities of a larger home
• Predictable living expenses ensuring budget friendly living
• Travel knowing that your house is safe and secure while you are away
• Companionship and friendship in a village lifestyle
• A wide variety of activities are available to pursue at your own pace
• Peace of mind knowing you are part of a safe and secure community, close to medical and other facilities
• Reassurance for your family knowing that you are part of a caring community and support is close at hand

What does Treeview Estates have to offer?
You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the spacious design of our Lithgow retirement village, including our homes with three or two bedrooms and two bathrooms and internal garage. With quality details and modern finishes, there’s also plenty of room to entertain your family and friends.

Our Lifestyle Centre is the hub of our community. Catch up with friends over a coffee, relax by the gas fire with a book from the library, enjoy a special dinner in the function centre or take advantage of the on-site beauty salon, massage therapist or podiatrist.

There’s also the peace of mind knowing that a medical centre and hospital are on your doorstep and the convenience of Lithgow’s shops, cafes, entertainment and train services nearby.

Can I reserve a specific villa?
Yes, you can reserve your choice of villa by signing a Reservation Form and paying a fully refundable $1,000 deposit. The deposit is held in our solicitor’s trust account and is refundable should you change your mind. No charges or fees apply. Your reservation lasts for 90 days, giving you ample time to arrange the sale of your existing home. The reservation period can be extended if needed.

What if I need to sell my current home first?
You may reserve your villa subject to the sale of your current property, and our experienced staff will be happy to help you plan and undertake this process.

Can I save money by moving to Treeview?
Yes. Stamp Duty is not payable on your lease, so you will save around $20,000 compared to buying a conventional house or strata title property. Also, the villas are not strata titled, so you don’t have to worry about village management and maintenance. All maintenance of the village is taken care of by Treeview.

These are two of the many benefits of buying into a retirement community.
What age must I be?
The Retirement Villages Act requires that a villa be occupied by at least one person aged over 55.
How much is the monthly maintenance levy, and what does it cover?
A monthly maintenance levy of $416.40 for singles and $460.50 for couples will be payable to cover village operations, common area gardening, maintenance, building insurance, council rates, operation of the lifestyle centre, village bus, emergency call system and other services.

What villas are available?
We have just released our final stage, introducing three new floorplans: two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and one car space. We occasionally have resale villas pop up, so it’s best to get on our waitlist or reserve a villa to secure your Treeview home.
