Located less than an hour away in Oberon, the Mayfield Gardens Summer Festival is running from January 11th to January 26th. Visitors will love exploring brand new attractions never before open to the public, as well as rowing a boat across the lake, discovering the full private garden, or enjoying some interactive garden games. Mayfield offers a cafe with a fresh, seasonal menu, including coffee, tea, and snacks. These spectacular gardens offer the perfect way to spend a summer day! Australia Day-

If you’re looking for a fun filled way to celebrate Australia Day, there are a couple of great options available in the region. The Springwood Australia Day Festival features live music, rides, market and food stalls, and more. Entry is by donation with proceeds going to the local fire brigade. If you’re looking for something a little more whimsical, check out the famous Australia Day Australian Gnome Convention in Glenbrook Park. Of course there’s the Gnome competition, but visitors will also enjoy rides, live entertainment, market stalls and more.

Wines of the West-

Being held January 25th and 26th, the 18th annual  Wines of the West festival is just a short drive away in Katoomba. You’ll have the chance to taste wines from many regional wineries, plus ticket holders will have exclusive access to other specials. If you really want to explore, Katoomba is also well known for its vintage and antique shopping. You’ll love meandering down the main street popping into shops like the Antiques Emporium or The Hattery. There’s also some great places to eat in Katoomba, making it one of our favourite ways to spend a summer day!

The Roaring 20s Festival-

Step back in time to the days of Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan! The Hydro Majestic Hotel is holding this event on February 8th, 2020. Join in on the Charleston for Charity, a Majestic Lunch or a fabulous Deco Dinner. Be sure to discover your inner Flapper and dress for the occasion in your 1920s inspired costumes. Wrap up the evening with the musical stylings of the Roslyns, and enjoy a night of pop/jazz nostalgia. Don’t be too quick to pack up that costume either, you can return at the end of the month for the Gatsby Casino Night on February 29th!
